Space Week and More Birthdays!

We have been celebrating a lot of real birthdays and half birthdays this month! We had 3 this week!

 Our birthday snack on Tuesday had bright green and blue frosting! We could sure tell who had a cupcake! :)

Space Day was on Wednesday! We started off with blasting off in our room. (If you haven't signed up for Seesaw yet and would like to, let me know. I posted a few videos from space day on there.)

The Space Center buzzed us and let us know that we were cleared for take off. We counted down from 10 and watched a real spaceship blasting off!

 We floated down to room 100 where we did space stations!

We made a moon craft.

 Tested space food (yogurt bites- baby food) and read books

 Made constellations with playdoh.

 Made a name rocket.

 Went through and space course with asteroids and mountains!

 These boys were patiently waiting to go to the next station after they finished their craft!

Another half birthday!

 These boys love their non fiction books!

 And another half birthday!

 We have started playing more board games at playtime. I have been playing with them for the first few times, but soon they will be able to play on their own. In case anyone wants to know, I won this game! :)

 We made the sun today!

"The sun is a star. It gives us light and heat."

We used foil to make it look like flames were coming off the sun.

 These boys were using glue bottles for walkie-talkies. :)

 Class T-shirt orders are due on Monday!

Uncles to lunch is up next the week of February 12th. We eat lunch at 11:05.

We are working on tying our shoes lately! We have several that are so close!

Day 100 is on Monday!! Dress your child like a 100 year old!

We will celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th. You can start sending valentines anytime. The Q & U Wedding is also that day. Dress your child like they are attending a real wedding!
