Meeting Real Cowboys!

Kaydee brought her big brother and dad to school on Thursday to talk about being cowboys! We learned about the clothes they wear, the equipment they use, and about the different events.

Kaydee was showing us the correct way to run the barrels.

Lane and his dad helped the kids to rope the steers.

They were so patient with the kids and did such an amazing job! If you see this family around, be sure to tell them thank you! They kids (and teachers) loved it! I have one VERY PROUD little girl in my class. :)

(Videos will be on Seesaw. Let me know if you still would like to sign up!)

YEEHAW!!!

Today was Rodeo Day! Kaydee's family got every kindergartener a hat and bandanna!  We loved wearing them today! Thank you so much!

Kaydee's sister, Bekka, came to help with our Rodeo Centers in Room 100 today. (I think she had way more fun with us than the math, science and PE that she would have been doing.) :) Thank you so much, Bekka!

Bekka helped the kids rope the steers.
They did barrel racing with Ms. Fenstermann.

We did a different kind of roping with my group. We got 5 chances to rope the cone.
Bull Riding with Ms. Mayne

Coloring and books

Sheep racing with Mr. Leibfried

We got done just in time for a lunch break! Hopefully the rodeo wore your little one out! I know the teachers are all pretty tired! YEEHAW!
Thank you again, Shemak Family! This is definitely the best Rodeo Day we have ever had!
