SPRING... is not here yet.

We have been learning about spring and eggs this week... even though the weather hasn't felt like it.  We started learning about all the different animals that hatch from eggs. We also learned how eggs can be different.  Some are hard like chicken eggs, some are soft like reptile eggs, some are squishy like fish eggs... The kids loved learning about all the differences!

Corbin got a GOLDEN ZERO!!! He is only the second one to do it this year!

Bubble wrap... it sure kept these guys busy for a while. :)

Next week we'll be learning more about eggs! I am sure you have already heard, but we will be hatching chicks in our room! We set the incubator up yesterday to get the temperature regulated by the time the eggs come on Wednesday! They are expected to hatch around May 2nd. The kids are getting so excited!
The Lindner family graciously supplies the eggs for us, but they do not want the chicks back! If any families would like to take any home, please let me know. (I think we will have about 40 eggs between all 4 classes… how many chicks will actually hatch, we never know!)

We have a few days coming up in May to add to your calendar. On May 10th at 6:00 in room 100 we will be having the Kindergarten Slideshow.
On May 16th is the kindergarten field trip to the Henry Vilas Zoo. Parents/ Grandparents/ Aunts/ Uncles/ younger siblings are ENCOURAGED to come!
