POPCORN!

Sorry I'm a little late on this post! Friday I left right away because of the weather and yesterday I was gone in the afternoon because of a dentist appointment.

This week we learned about popcorn! We watched some pretty cool videos of how popcorn pops in slow motion! Our big question was about how we take care of pets. We learned that some pets don't need a lot of responsibility, such as a gold fish, but a dog needs a lot! 

We added 2 more sight words- of and they. We now have learned 24 sight words! We can make some pretty long sentences now!

 Max celebrated his half birthday this week! Happy half-birthday, Max!

 It was FFA week, so we visited the petting Zoo at the high school. We saw baby ducks, a cow, calves, chickens, a goat, and a bunny!

 We made popcorn sight word bags! The kids loved reading the sight words with their friends! Be careful not to get a "POP!"

 Rural Route 1 came to tell us how they make popcorn! 

We even got to taste different kinds!

 

 

 Kayden and Morgan can tie their shoes! Way to go, girls!

I don't want to jinx myself, but the last time some one was sick in my family 6 days ago! Hopefully that continues!

Upcoming-

Dad's are invited to come to lunch the week of March 6-10th. We eat at 11:05.

March 17th is an early release day.

March 20-24 is SPRING BREAK!

 This week Q and U got married! Since they were always together in the first place, they decided that they should make it official. :)
To start off the day, we matched 2 boys with a girl to march down the isle to room 100 where the wedding was taking place.

Mrs. Otte (a retired Kindergarten teacher for IG) came back to officiate the wedding!

 After the ceremony, the Qs and Us high fived and then we started the dance!

Lots of fun was had!

 We also celebrated 3 birthdays this week!

Ryker's half birthday was on Wednesday. Happy half birthday, Ryker!

 Tulio celebrated his half birthday on Thursday. Happy half birthday, Tulio!

And Brynn celebrated her real birthday today! Happy 6th Birthday, Brynn!

We have 2 new sight words- for and have. Sometimes I can hardly get through a sentence with out the kids yelling "you just said a sight word!" With having 22 sight words already this year, it's impossible to not say one!

I'm sure most of you have heard, but Dylan moved to a different school this week! We spent day making him things to remember us by! We also are going to send him stuff at his new school. :)

This week was another week that I wasn't here much either! Hannah was sick for almost 2 weeks, and when I finally thought it was safe for my husband and I to both go back to work on the same day, Jonah got sick at daycare! I am hoping this beautiful weather we are having this next week will help all the germs go away!

I'm almost afraid to tell you that I am going to have a sub on Monday so I can finally test them on their reading level. Although I think I have a pretty good idea where everyone is at, I do like to see what they can do one on one with me.
