This week our big questions was "What happens in different kinds of weather? Our new sight words are she and was. Our vocabulary is predict, temperature, storm, clever and drought. We also learned about space!
We learned many cool facts about the planets by reading books, watching videos and signing songs! The kids were getting really good at learning which planets were the icy planets, which were the hot plants, and which had rings. A 1st grader remembered we learned about space, so she let us use her projector she got for Christmas. It had different slides that projected on to the ceiling. It showed plants, space shuttles, satellites, galaxies...
I posted a video of the blast off below. It might work...
Before heading to the space station, we blasted off in our rooms! We watched a real space launch on the smart board!
We played space centers in room 100! There was trying space food (baby yogurt melts) and coloring, a moon craft, obstacle course, marshmallow constellations, and books.
It was Hat Day on Wednesday!
Oliver celebrated his half birthday this week! Happy birthday, Oliver!
Next week is Day 100 week! Be sure to send your 100 items in the paper bag with the clues!
Friday, February 10th we will be dressing up like 100 year olds. (Technically Day 100 is on Monday the 13th, but I wont be here on that day so we are dressing up on Friday.)
Uncles to lunch on the 13th-17th. We eat at 11:05.
