Monday was our second to last day with our 4th grade buddies! We went to room 100 and watched part of the slide show from when they were in Kindergarten, and then we watched part of ours. It is so hard to watch it knowing that soon these kids will be that big. Time sure goes fast!
Monday night I wasn't feeling the best, but thought I would be ok to come to school. As soon as I got here I knew I wasn't going to make it, so Mrs. Kelley came as quick as she could! Thanks to Ms. Fennsterman and Mrs. Mayne for taking my kids until she got here! (They enjoyed free time and watching the slide show again until she got here.)
Wednesday was our Zoo field trip. I am so glad that EVERYONE had someone come with them! I am happy that not only each child had a special day with their family, but I also got the chance to be Leah's mom and be with my family. (I was a little sad on the slide show night when I couldn't be right there when Leah brought back her binder and all the things she made, but them I remembered that I got to EXPERIENCE this whole year with her in the first place... I am SO lucky to have that chance!)
Thursday was Hannah's Preschool Graduation, so Mrs. Langfoss was their sub.
Friday we worked hard writing a letter to a friend in Kindergarten and learning more about greater than and less than in math. We did have enough time to squeeze in Open Door Playtime, though!
We also made slime today! I love the slime that you make with borax, but I know it isn't safe. I found a new recipe that is 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of metamucil and you cook it in the microwave for 5 minutes. (Watch out, it will boil over, so you will have to stop it a few times.) It's not just like the borax version, but it was still fun!

For those of you that have older children, we are hoping to add other years soon!
