Coming to America!

We had a very short week, but we sure packed in a lot of things... especially on Tuesday! We did our yearly "Coming to American." All the kindergartners were crammed into the ship to come to America from England. It was a long trip, but we finally made it!

 Once we reached land, we had to build a house!

 We got to eat a feast in our classroom!

 We played a game called dots and boxes after our math test. They had so much fun!

We had a very busy week! We learned about the gingerbread man and we even had one show up in our classroom! He usually was very good, although sometimes he made a little mess!

We love reading to him!

We have been doing a lot with our math trays in math. Each time we are getting faster and faster! One day we did a "friendly competition" and tried to race a partner. I couldn't believe how quiet they were! They loved to doing it!

We made gingerbread men to take home for Thanksgiving. When we came back, this is what our gingerbread man did!

I think he missed us over night!

It was Ms. Sorenson's last day on Thursday. We loved having her at school every Tuesday and Thursday morning. You have her to thank for the special slime the kids came home with!

 We found Manny with someone's coat and hat on!

On Friday we made gingerbread cookies! 

We each got a ball of dough and we made our own gingerbread men and took them down to the ovens. We took them our right before Music to let them cool. When we came back to get them, they were gone! We asked everyone we saw if anyone saw them! We finally found them in our room! We still don't know how they got there! 

Whenever we read a gingerbread man book, we have to cover his eyes and plug his ears... we don't want him to hear what happened to some of his friends!
