Pumpkins!

I was a little late getting my pumpkins for my classroom and was only able to get pie pumpkins. I had never carved one of these so we didn't  know what to expect! First we weighed and measured them to see if the size had to do with the number of seeds they had inside them.

 The we gutted them and sorted the seeds. 

 Then we counted the seeds by 10 groups. Boy, that was a huge job!

 We ended up counting over 400 and 500 seeds in each pumpkin! And the one that had the most seeds was the second smallest.  That is a lot of seeds!
