What a week! We have been patiently waiting for our chicks to hatch on day 21 (Tuesday). All 3 of the other classes were having chicks, but not ours! I was afraid this was a year that we wouldn’t have any. SHH, don’t tell the kids, but on Wednesday, Ms. Fensterman graciously let us have one of her new chicks to pretend that one of our eggs hatched. The kids were thrilled! But then on Thursday, a miracle happened! We had a crack! We ended up getting our very own chick! And then another, and then another! I don’t know why our eggs were so behind, but they have been worth the wait! We even got to watch 2 of them hatch! As Corbin wrote on his paper “It was disgusting, but cool!” Check Seesaw for one of the videos! We still have 2 more eggs with cracks in them!
This week has been such a crazy week with chicks, projects, getting ready for the slideshow, but it is one week they will never forget!
We had lunch outside! It turned out to be a beautiful day!
