A Visit to Antarctica :)

The kids are standing next to the Emperor penguin, the biggest penguin of all. They loved to see how tall they were compared to them! The other penguins are the King, Blackfooted, Macaroni, and Adalie.

Melted Snow/ Ice Experiment

Some of our friends like to eat the snow and ice outside... and not the freshly fallen stuff! One day last week I saw some kids eating snow and sucking on "ice balls," so we brought those in just to see what kind of stuff is actually in there when it melts! Take a look for yourselves!

And I am sure you are wondering if they stopped eating snow and ice... and the answer is NO! They didn't want to drink the water, but still are eating the snow...

Fridays With Buddies

The kids are feeling so much more comfortable with their buddies now that we are into January. Some of them sure love to get as close as they can to them!

Super Heroes!

I'm sure most of you have already seen the super hero masks that the kids made at school! (And probably fixed them as many times as I have already, too!) The theme for the year book is about super heroes, so we took an awesome class picture wearing our masks. Then, I took a picture of them each by themselves with their super hero poses!

The kids could have done puzzles, file folder games, quietly talked or read books during the morning free time. Look how many chose to read books! :)
