A Few Important Notes...

Pajama day is Tuesday, February 10th.

Wednesday, February 11th is an Early Release Day and Grandparents Day.

We are very excited to have Grandparents come on Wednesday! Please remember to send back the form that was in your child's backpack on Friday so we know how many to plan for!
We would love if you would keep this special day all about your Kindergartener and Grandparent /grandfriend, but if your child's grandparent is going to take home an older sibling on Wednesday, PLEASE send a note by Wednesday morning. We love Mrs. Lenzendorf (the office secretary) and we don't want to push her over the edge. :)  Early release days are already hectic and we don't want to add one more thing to it!

Friday is our Valentine's Day Party and the Q&U Wedding (more information will be sent home about this next week- we will be dressing in "formal" clothes for this occasion. :)

I know this is over a month away, but I am not able to have morning conferences on March 27th. My husband is having surgery that day and administration has let me have that day off. As the date gets closer, I will be sending out a sign up sheet. I will try to get as many of my conferences done the evening of the 26th, but if you need to have a day conference, I will be happy to schedule it during one of my preps. Thanks in advance for understanding!

100th Day Pictures

I used an app to make the kids look 100 years old! They LOVED it! (And so did I!)

Here we are all dressed up posing with their bad backs and/or grumpy faces!

100 Days of School Already!?

Wednesday was the 100th day of school. How is that even possible!? We had a lot of fun learning about the number 100. One of our favorite things was bringing in the mystery bag with 100 items. They loved trying to guess what was inside!
We made pictures of what we thought we would look like when we turned 100. Some of them looked just like them! We have them hanging in the hall right now, but will be sending them home soon!

Center Fun
Spelling 3 letter words with wet-erase markers.
More practice of CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words
Scribble Journals
The Cute Little Snowman Poem- We sorted the words by color and then put them in the right order. The pink slips are to show how man sight words are in the poem!
iPad spelling apps
Each time we rolled the dice, we colored that many squares. We rolled the dice 28 times to color all 100 squares!

The kids were given the number 100 to be creative and make into something new. There were a lot of awesome ideas! Some made cars, trucks, ice cream trucks, slides, cranes and even a ninja turtle!

 Grumpy Old People!

I had several old books that were falling apart. Instead of throwing them away, I let the kids cut them up. The kids had so much fun! They were making up their own stories with their pictures!

Making 100 Day necklaces out of Fruit Loops.

Fruit Loop Necklaces and Hat Day!

I had to post this picture... they were SO QUIET when they were working on their math. I knew it was possible!
