Eggs, Chicks and Spring!

We learned about spring, eggs and weather this week! We made a lot of projects this week, too! If you come to school you will see the walls in the hall nicely decorated with our projects.
The eggs should be hatching at the beginning of the week. I will be sure to post pictures, and even hope to have a video or two, too! We were lucky enough to see a few hatch last year, so I am hoping we can again this year... we just have to remember to be SUPER quiet!
Upcoming Events in Kindergarten!
May 6th- Early Release
May 14- Kindergarten Slideshow in Room 100 at 7pm
May 20- Field trip to the Zoo (Parents and younger siblings are encouraged to come!)
May 29- Last day for students! (this is a FULL day! Previous years it has been only a half day on the last day of school, but that silly snow day we had changed it a bit:) )

Kendra turned 6! Happy birthday, Kendra!

 Note the shoes :)

This one of the lights that I use to "candle" the eggs. I took this picture with the flash so you could see what it looks like.

This is a picture from when the eggs were around 4 days or so. You could see a "dark spot" in there and the air pocket. I will be sure to post more pictures when we candle them tomorrow! I guess I didn't take a picture the last time we did it, but you could see some of the chick's moving then!

The kids LOVE read to buddy time! They are so proud to be able to read to their friends!

Last Thursday was Egg Day! The kids (well, most of them :) ) took great care of them! One of the eggs cracked on the way to school and then it just went down hill from there... :) The last one to crack at school was when we walking out the door to the bus! It is so funny to see their face after it falls! Either the look of HORROR when it has cracked or relief when it turns out ok!
