Dads to Lunch and Surprises Week!

We had a wonderful week of making our special area teachers feel special. Each morning we used our writing time to write about music, art, guidance, library and PE. Then we would deliver them when we went to our special. They loved it! It was nice for them to see how great of writers and drawers we really are!
We learned about transportation this week and "What can help you go from here to there?" Our new vocabulary words are transportation, vehicle, journey, wide and fierce.
Our new sight words are here and me.

We had lots of dads come to lunch this week! If you weren't able to make it, you can come anytime!

We also celebrated Kayden's birthday on Friday! Happy 6th birthday, Kayden!
Open door playtime!
We took a little break from our math series and played Connect 4. We had 2 dice and had to add the numbers together to color a dot. The first to connect 4 wins!

Next week is Rodeo week! We will be dressing up on Wednesday like cowboys and cowgirls and will have a rodeo on room 100! The kids can't wait! (And no, we can not bring real bulls in the school!) :)

I sent home a note about a Grandparents Afternoon on April 7th. Please send back the RSVP soon so we can give the cooks a more accurate number. We can't wait for our grandparents to be able to visit us at school!

This Friday is an Early Release and Spring break is the week following. Many students have talked about going on vacation that week... we would LOVE to see pictures, so please email me some if you are able! (And you don't even have to go anyplace to do something special! We would just love to see anything you did during your spring break!)

Have a wonderful weekend!
