"The more you read, the more you know!"

What a wonderful week we had learning about Dr. Seuss! From crazy hair day, mismatch day, crazy sock day, hat day to glasses day! The kids had a lot of fun listening to me try to read some of Dr. Suess' books! Some sure left me tongue-tied! We graphed what each of our socks looked like on Wednesday by using tallies.

Thursday we had hat day and saw the Cat in the Hat!

Kipton also celebrated his half birthday on Thursday! Happy half birthday, Kipton!

Thing 1 and Thing 2 were running around the school on Thursday! If you heard some loud screams, cheers and laughs around 1:00, it was probably us! The kids LOVED it! The school Psychologist and guidance counselor dressed up as them!) They were turning kids hats around, throwing gloves, making me put my foot on the table, tying my hair in a knot... you could just imagine how loud it was! We decided to go to recess a little early. :) We really do have the best staff here!

They even did a brain break with us!

Glasses Day!

I had to add a picture of my glasses, too! I don't think they were big enough, what do you think? :)

We go two new sight words this week again, said and want. We learned about Where animals live and learned a new vocabulary word of habitat. Our other vocab words were wild, complain, stubborn, and join.

The entire school decorated their doors! We got to walk around and vote for our favorite one! This was our door!

You may have seen that your child brought home a couple extra books that they said they can keep. The library is starting to weed out some of the old nonfiction books in order to make room for some new ones. The discarded books have the bar code ripped off and the word 'discard' stamped inside.

It's Dads to Lunch this week! We eat at 11:05!
Early release on the 17th and Spring Break 20-14th.

Have a wonderful weekend! It is supposed to be beautiful!
