YEEHAW!!!

Today was Rodeo Day! Kaydee's family got every kindergartener a hat and bandanna!  We loved wearing them today! Thank you so much!

Kaydee's sister, Bekka, came to help with our Rodeo Centers in Room 100 today. (I think she had way more fun with us than the math, science and PE that she would have been doing.) :) Thank you so much, Bekka!

Bekka helped the kids rope the steers.
They did barrel racing with Ms. Fenstermann.

We did a different kind of roping with my group. We got 5 chances to rope the cone.
Bull Riding with Ms. Mayne

Coloring and books

Sheep racing with Mr. Leibfried

We got done just in time for a lunch break! Hopefully the rodeo wore your little one out! I know the teachers are all pretty tired! YEEHAW!
Thank you again, Shemak Family! This is definitely the best Rodeo Day we have ever had!

Dads To Lunch!

Last week was Dads to Lunch! Thanks to all the dads that were able to get off work and eat with us! Remember, if you couldn't make it last week, you are welcome to come anytime!

We also celebrated a birthday last week! Happy 6th birthday!

A reminder that Friday is Rodeo Day! We will be dressing like cowboys and cowgirls!

Dr. Seuss Week!

I *tried* to teach the kids about how dirty the ice and snow that they eat from the ground actually is! I had the kids bring me in lots of pieces of ice. I then asked them to grab a piece that looked yummy enough to eat... but not to actually eat it. Then we took a closer look to see what was actually in them. We sorted the big chunks by "clean" and "dirty". Then we picked a few small pieces and labeled them "very clean," "kind of clean" and "dirty."

I forgot to get a close up of the melted ice, but the "very clean" had a little dirt in it, the "kind of clean" didn't have an specs in it, but did look yellow, and the dirty was gross! We talked about what that yellow might be from... hopefully that sunk in!

I forgot to take pictures of all our dress up days.
 Glasses day!

Mismatch day (or Mr. Match day as some thought it should be called!)

My clothes. :)
Crazy hair day!

We were working on our Dr. Seuss door. We grabbed one of our favorite books from our book boxes and drew them on a small book. They LOVED this and wanted to do more!

 Hat day!

I was Skye from Paw Patrol!

The Cat in the Hat has glasses just like these two!

The Cat in the Hat wants us to R E A D!
