Farms

This week we learned about farms! We had a great time reading books, doing projects and going on a field trip. 

I asked the kids what their favorite part of the field trip was. And this is what they came up with!

Charlie- the robot arm

Jaelyn- seeing the cows

Ava- seeing the cow food

Chelsey- the baby calf

Carmen- seeing the robots

Colton- the powder (milk replacer for the calves)

Ezmae- the cows getting milked

Bella- the medicine for the cows

William- the medicine giver (the tool to put the medicine in their mouths)

Taylor- the calf

Luis- the robot

Luna- the white things (silage bags)

Bently- the bulldozer and tractors

Neolani- the cow food

Hayden- seeing Cadence

Nathan- seeing the baby calf

Brylie- the baby calf

Riley- the cows being milked

On Thursday we wrote what we would be doing all day if we were a farmer. There were some great answers! (Cleaning cow poop, teaching the horses, driving tractors...) On Friday we cut out some overalls and made them into a farmer. Then we added our sentences to the bottom and hung them in the hall.

We "Planted A Pattern" with beans on Friday. First we made a scarecrow to put in the field and then we made a pattern with 3 different kinds of beans.
